Sobrino: "We have to forget about this game and focus on LaLiga"

Following Valencia CF's departure from the Copa del Rey, striker Rubén Sobrino expressed his disappointment with the cup elimination and promised a focus on improving results in LaLiga.
"Our evaluation is that it was a bad game. I think that we all know that. From the fifth or tenth minute it was tough when we conceded that goal off a corner because we had switched off. Losing concentration in football means that can happen. From then on, Sevilla were very good and had a better rhythm and intensity than us. The game became very tough for us," he told VCF Media.
Next up for the team is a big regional derby against Elche, and Sobrino sees it as a chance to put the result against Sevilla FC in the past.
"We tried we gave it our all but, it wasn’t enough. We need to put this game behind us. We’ve got to try to focus on LaLiga. The best thing about football is that it gives you a new opportunity at the weekend and we need to make the most of that to try to take all three points."
"This will serve as a lesson for it not happen again in LaLiga. We’ve got a squad to put in a much better performance, I think the team are confident and they’re very aware that we’re going to take this forward and our attention switches to Elche FC to try to take the much-needed tall three points at all cost."
